Professor Yasar Onel has received a research award from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for his project, "Development of Secondary Emission Calorimetry." The award will support the development of a first-of-its-kind secondary emission calorimeter that combines ultra-fast timing, high precision, and exceptional radiation resistance for applications in particle physics and advanced medical imaging.
