Subdiagrams of Bratteli diagrams and measure extension

Subdiagrams of a Bratteli diagram are useful tools for studying the structure of the underlying dynamical system, its invariant measures, and orbit equivalence properties. In particular, we can study induced subdiagrams and invariant subsystems, or we can use the procedure of extending a dynamical system from a subdiagram. In my talk, I'll discuss the problem of finding ergodic probability measures on a Bratteli diagram using the measure extension construction. Several examples illustrating this method are considered.  The talk is based on the results from joint papers with P. Jorgensen, O. Karpel, and S. Sanadhya.
