Undergrads Present Posters at FURF

Thirteen Physics and Astronomy students presented posters at the Fall Undergraduate Research Festival (FURF) on Nov. 6 at the University Capitol Centre. The Office of Undergraduate Research hosts FURF, held in celebration and recognition of undergraduate researchers' contributions to research, scholarly, and creative work at the University of Iowa.

Former Student Develops Magnetic Cleanliness Screening Apparatus for TRACERS

The journal Geoscientific Instrumentation, Methods and Data Systems recently published an article "Automated static magnetic cleanliness screening for the TRACERS small-satellite mission" by former undergraduate student Cole Dorman, who was in Associate Professor David Miles' group when he completed this work.

Choate, Leiberton Named Winners at Inaugural Acevedo Poster Contest

Leiberton Recognized For Presentation at APS Prairie Section Meeting

Undergraduate physics student Jeff Leiberton was awarded a Student Presentation Prize for his poster presentation of "Towards Topological Magnons for Hybrid Magnonic Systems" at the 2023 Fall Meeting of the Prairie Section of the American Physical Society (APS) held Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
