Are you ready to get in the game?

One Day for Iowa, the University of Iowa’s 24-hour online giving day, is today, Wednesday, March 24. You can level-up your support for the Department of Physics & Astronomy Graduate Students by participating in limited-time challenges and matches that make your donation go further.

The UI Department of Physics & Astronomy strives to provide the attention and opportunities needed for students at all levels to succeed in physics and astronomy. This year we have introduced the new Andrew Nelson Scholarship that provides one month of summer support for all first-year graduate students to do research with a faculty member. This will kick start the students' research and decrease time to degree. Donations can be made to support the Andrew Nelson Endowment Fund or to our unrestricted Physics and Astronomy Gift Fund.

Here’s how you can play now:

  1. Give today to Physics & Astronomy
  2. Post to Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)

Your best posts and tweets could earn your favorite areas bonus dollars. Don’t forget to use #1DayForIowa!

Go, Hawks!
