Allison Jaynes

Associate Professor Allison Jaynes has been granted a new award through Purdue University for the project "Research, Technology Transition, and Workforce Development at Scale with Speed: A Proposal to Establish the Midwest AFRL Regional Research Convergence Hub (M-ARRCH)." This project will advance research on the fundamental processes that drive energetic electron acceleration in Earth's radiation belts, with a particular focus on how cold plasma density and radial diffusion rates influence wave-particle interactions. By improving understanding of these complex space weather dynamics, the work aims to enhance predictive capabilities for radiation belt activity, helping to protect satellites, spacecraft, and other critical space-based technologies while supporting broader research and workforce development initiatives in the Midwest.
