University of Iowa International Programs awarded Assistant Professor Tom Folland a $1200 travel grant to visit Professor Nabil Bassim at the Canadian Center for Electron Microscopy.

During the June 5-7 trip, Folland worked on a study of the structure of quantum materials and gave an invited talk “Squeezing light into small spaces – polaritonics in low symmetry materials.”
