Andrea Shaevitz, a senior financial analyst in Physics and Astronomy, will receive the Mary Louise Kelley Staff Excellence Award at the 2023 College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Staff Recognition Reception on June 15. This award recognizes staff members in CLAS who have performed exceptional service to their department or the College.

The selection for this award was based on the nomination from Dr. William Kurth, with support from Dr. Jasper Halekas and Dr. George Hospodarsky for being an integral part of the highly successful research effort in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. 

Andrea will be recognized at the Staff Recognition Reception to be held on June 15 at 2:30 p.m. in the second-floor ballroom at the Iowa Memorial Union. Physics and Astronomy staff members Edward West and Douglas Menietti will also be honored at the event for longevity awards.
