George Hospodarsky

Research Scientist/Engineer George Hospodarsky gave two space physics presentations on April 23, 2023, to elementary and high school students in Monticello, Iowa schools.

Fifteen students in a high physics class learned about space physics and the legacy of James Van Allen at the University of Iowa and what space physicists do. Hospodarsky also discussed how UI researchers build instrumentation that contributes to spacecraft missions, including the Van Allen Probes, Juno, Cassini, Polar, Cluster, Voyager, Galileo, Mars Express VIPER, and TRACERS.

Hospodarsky also gave a presentation at Carpenter Elementary School to 70 third-grade students and their teachers on space physics, the solar system, and the missions that have UI involvement.
