Classification of graph product von Neumann algebras

Assistant Professor Daniel Drimbe

Graph product groups were introduced by Elizabeth Green in her PhD thesis as natural generalizations of classical right-angled Artin and Coxeter groups. Their study has attracted increasing attention over the years years, as they play important roles in group theory. In this talk, I will survey recent results on the classification of von Neumann algebras associated with graph products. I will conclude by discussing joint work with Stefaan Vaes concerning the case where the underlying graph is infinite.
