"High Resolution Shock Width Measurement in Dusty Plasma" by Mr. Anton Kananovich, Department of Physics & Astronomy, The University of Iowa

Abstract:  Although shocks are often considered to be discontinuities with infinitesimally small thickness, many shock waves do have structure resolvable with modern experimental methods. I will present recent results on the measurement of shock width in dusty plasma along with a short review of experimental shock width research in plasma, gases, liquids, solids and warm dense matter.
