Title: Quantum algorithms for calculating the shear viscosity of QCD

Abstract: Hydrodynamic analysis of heavy-ion experiment has implied that QCD matter near the confinement transition is a nearly perfect fluid. Its viscosity is estimated to be close to the conjectured KSS bound. Yet, a calculation of the shear viscosity of QCD matter in such a regime from first principles is challenging due to its non-perturbative and real-time nature. A quantum simulation of lattice QCD is a good candidate to solve these issues at once. In this talk, I will draw a map of an algorithm for the evaluation of the shear viscosity of QCD on a quantum computer. I will describe its building blocks, the state preparation of a QCD matter on a quantum computer, and the measurement of real-time correlators of the energy-momentum tensor from which the shear viscosity can be extracted.
